WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND IT? WHY?
It started as a minor fender bender, that turned into a car chase, then led to a fatal road rage incident.
The victim had rear-ended the suspect just after the Sungai Besi toll plaza. Both of them stopped their car, thus begins an argument. Witnesses at the scene attempted to calm them down and both of them returned to their vehicles.
BASEBALL BAT, THEN RAN OVER
The angry victim took out his baseball bat from the trunk of his car, and hit the front of the suspect’s car whilst on his rage mode.
The suspect then ran over the deceased and sped off, leaving the victim pinned between the minivan and road divider.
The screenshot above is from a video taken by one of the witnesses at the scene. It can be clearly seen that the man in the striped shirt (the suspect) was holding onto the victim who was in an extreme amount of pain.
VICTIM WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL, BUT PRONOUNCED DEAD
Unfortunate reports have mentioned that the victim was sent to Nilai Medical Centre after the incident, but unfortunately, was pronounced dead there.
This was a screenshot of the victim’s sister-in-law on Twitter, pleading for the witnesses to come forward to aid the investigations.
In her tweet, she also uploaded a video showing both the suspect and victim at the scene. Although the video was immediately put down after she makes her account private.
POLICE HAVE ARRESTED THE SUSPECT, AND HIS WIFE
The police have arrested the suspect, and his 36-years old wife. The police has ruled out any possibilities that this incident is linked to any racial issues – as it involving a Malay victim and a Chinese suspect.
This case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
